Sat. afternoon 4/29. - My docter suprized me in my St. V room this morning with the just arrived pathology tissue reports, instead of having to sweat 'till Mon., and everything is good. They got it all! Yay- no chemo. My prostrate cancer is essentialy cured. Just have to heal from a large incision, retrain the plumbing a bit, and get another PSA Factor test in 8 weeks that is all but a formality and.... FISH-ON!! -- Jen came to visit and brought notes of encouragement from several readers that meant very much to me! THANK YOU- BIG TIME! One sentence of reader Pete Morris I found both very interesting and touching. "I haven't met you, but I know you." He went on to explain that people who become members of discussion groups with a common strong interest often become bonded like a small community. I agree. And we have here. I think that well-thought out net communication often surpasses the small talk common to in-person discussion. So we do get to know and respect each other over time. Cool! Thanks Pete.- And again guys, go in for a PSA Factor test by 45 or at least 50. Mine was close enough to the edge of the gland that if I had waited another year I may have had to take my chances with chemotherapy. -- I'm supposed to take it easy for awhile and not sit too long at a time. I will still be moderating and writing for Jen's Ifish BB; but at a bit slower rate for awhile. Thanks again all. - Steve - P.S. (Edit) Hey Jen, I didn't just have a bad hair day. It was a bad hair week! And some friends came up to visit and things turned to funny subject matter. OUCH!!!!! And when you try to not laugh it justs gets funnier and unavoidable. Didn't rip a stitch fortunately.
