Thank you for the notice. I had not heard yet.
Sorry about the length, but this is good news.
From the ODFW web page:
4/18/00 Lower Willamette Fishery to Reopen
Fishing for spring chinook and steelhead below Willamette Falls will reopen for one day only, Saturday, April 22. The daily and season limit regulations that went into effect March 20 continue for this day.
From the ODFW e-mail notice:

For Immediate Release April 18, 2000
Lower Willamette River Re-Opens for Spring Chinook Angling for One Additional Day
PORTLAND * The fishing season for spring chinook on the Lower Willamette River and
Multnomah Channel will reopen Saturday, April 22 for one additional day.
The Lower Willamette is being managed for a 7,850 fish quota. About 1,200 fish remain on the quota. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife announced a closure late last week because biologists projected the quota would be reached after last Saturday's fishing. Catches slowed last week and the quota was not reached.
The catch limits for the additional day of fishing remain the same. On Saturday, anglers may keep only one adult or jack chinook and one fin-clipped steelhead, or they may harvest two fin-clipped steelhead. Saturday's catch will also count on an angler's five salmon season limit for the combined Lower Willamette (March 20-April 22), Upper Willamette and Clackamas rivers fisheries.
After Saturday's fishery, all waters of the Willamette River below Willamette
Falls * including Multnomah Channel and the Clackamas River up to the Highway 99E
Bridge * will be closed to angling for salmon and steelhead until Monday, May 1. At that time, the Lower Willamette, including Multnomah Channel, will re-open to angling for adipose fin-clipped salmon and adipose fin-clipped steelhead only. The Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will adopt the new season and catch limits for this first-ever selective fishery at its April 21 monthly meeting in Portland.
