OK Folks, I know that some of you made it out to the water today. How'd you do ? Reports ? Pics ? Here's hoping there was lots of success !

Personally I made the sacrafice to stay home JUST to keep the river traffic down some   heck I couldn't even type that with a straight face.

i made it the clackamas and eagle creek for a couple of hours swinging some bunny leaches, did not have a lot of luck but did get to practice casting my new 8 weight that i just finished. the water clarity was alright but the water was high and fast especially eagle creek.

Glad you made it out ! Everyone else is either being very tight lipped, unusual for this crowd, or humble.

Andy ?
Stew ?
Clacksteel ?
Mark V. ?
PTS ?
the rest of the usual suspects ?

I'm stuck at home this weekend. I can't get out until Tuesday. I expect to post some fish this week, maybe one larger then Clacksteel's 29 ¾ inch native .

I got out today (Sunday the 22nd) and have nothing to show for it. The crowds were unbearable on Eagle Creek! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 5 guys in about a 15 yd. hole! It was nice walk, and thankfully no rain or falls into the water. Next Monday (the 30th) I have the day off so I plan on going on a long drive to escape the crowds and find the steelhead!

I focused on Eagle Creek this week since the clarity was good although there was a lot of water to spread out the fish. I was only able to catch one fish in three mornings of fishing. Didn't see any others caught either. Only 27 inches, so like Andy, I will be looking for a 30+ incher this week. There's going to be a lot of good water available.

Won't get out until Tuesday when I be field testing a Meiser spey rod.
I need a little lower water conditions because I don't do the split shot/strike indicator thing. I prefer a large hook, long leader and floating line. Or a sinking tip

Okay, you want info? I fished four days last week (Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Saturday). In total, I got one wild fish to the bank for eight opportunities. On Saturday, I got totally skunked even though it was the day with the best river conditions.

tried Eagle on Sat night for about an hour and a half... That thing was no creek :bigshock: It was huge... it was clear, but very high. didn't see many people at Fern only heard of one little fish in the morning.
On Sunday I hit the coast. Wilson was a perfect green color up high , but still kinda big. I was planning on fishing up high, but I guess I went a little lower than I was shooting for... I found some sweet spots on the way back... I guess I'll try those next time

Then I went to the Tucca.. Three Rivers was pretty high and had some color. the lower Tucca was still brown... I tried to go up high (above Beaver but no luck except for an 8" trout)

Weather was good though

I watched as a good friend of mine lost a fat chrome steelie to some fast water and a tail walk. Other than that we were teased only once more.
