Just trying this thing out, fished Youngs Bay today,four take downs,three fish, all about 15#. Seen one other fish caught, and a few more missed. Nets go in Wednesday.

Hi Dennis- Would like to hear more Young's Bay fishing info. for both springers and fall coho. Be nice to have an alternative to the over-crowded Gorge spots. I know it involves commercial netting there also, so if it's too touchy to post about, click on the e-mail icon for my post here to let me know waz up. Thanks. - Steve

Being from Washington...where is Youngs Bay...is it right there by Warrenton??

Yes,Youngs Bay is right there by Warrenton.Net pen fishery, springers and fall coho I believe. Don't know a lot about it yet, but I'm learning.

I might have to forgo some work on a rental and get downt there before wednesday...were you using a set up similar to how we fish Tillamook, with a dropper or what...how were you rigged??

I'm not really sure the best way to fish it, but I was useing cut plug herring(blue label)18" dropper with 4 to 5oz. of lead.Drop it to the bottom and two cranks up.Might be a better way to catch them, its a brand new fishery to me. Dennis
