I ran down to Redding Saturday to pick up my boat after some work I had done. By the time we finally got on the water it was 1:30pm. We put in at Antlers and fished around close and caught 20 or so spotted bass. Most of them were small but fun to catch. We were going to stay and fish Sunday but the weather was really bad from Mt. Shasta to Weed with snow. The water is down about 35 ft now and dropping fast. If someone wants to catch some winter time bass it is a great place to go get your line stretched.

what were you catchin' 'em on and how deep etc.? That's a fairly close run for me (kfalls), but I've never done it. I manage to hit shastina several times in the spring... Heck it's not that far past weed is it? I'd love to try it out this year.

We were catching them on 1/2 oz football jigs with a Yamamoto twin tail. I'm sure there was a good spoon bite to somewhere but I didn't have enough time to find it. It is probably about an hour+ from Weed.
