Thought we'd get the official count (roster) as to who's going to attend (Feb. 23-26). I think this is going to be a great trip. All we need is a little cooperation from Mother Nature!

I am so wanting to go, but the buddy who I was going to stay with is not able to attend.
I am going to look into a cabin and if the pass is clear, I will definitely be heading over.

I'm coming up with Frankenfish on Thursday and leaving Saturday. Frankenfish is driving, so our arrival will depend on how many deer he hits/avoids!

Last time I tried to find you guys I searched and searched...saw many faces and never found y'all.
I just found out that they do not allow lead, or bb's at all to fish for the bulls...therefore the flies have got to be super duper heavy.

If you guys need to find me just look for the strapping young lad  :jester:

Pick a camp spot or day spot and pitch a flag for the group. I've got the red jeep cherokee with stuff stacked all over it and a black lab trailing behind on a leash. Oh yeah, and a 400 zillion foot banner behind it celebrating the Steelers 2006 Superbowl Championship!
Sorry, I know I'm hopeless.

Anyway, you can trade in your wedding ring for a great bull fly (the jointed bunny leach) at the store in Camp Sherman. It will get down pretty quickly in semi-moving water.

I was going to post a pic but then I realized that I know what I look like! We should meet at the store, or leave messages at the store so we know where to find each other. Avalanche beacons would also work!

I hate to say it, but I wont be attending the gathering. I was really hoping to make it out, but with a new puppy running around, it's hard enough to get away for a single day to fish!

I am still planning on going.
Will arrive Thursday afternoon (2/23) - hopefully before dark and plan to fish all day Friday and head home Friday night.
I am going to bring a trout rod and a steelhead rod for Bull Trout. I have never got into a Bull Trout - so - if someone is a teach'n, I will be a'learn'n. (Same could be said with fish'n BWO's)

FYI all: This is the same weekend as the Becoming an Oregon outdoors Woman (BOW, put on by ODFW) classes at Suttle Lake. My fiancee :hearton: is registered for the flyfishing class - GET THIS - they (BOW participants) get to fish the settling pond at Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery (catch and release, of course). Have you seen the size of those brooders? They are HUGE!
These 12 women and the free fish weekend kids (in June) are the only ones all year that get to fish that water - lucky! So if you want to see some happy faces, go to the pond 8:00a - 11:30a,1:30p - 5:00p on Sat 2/25.
Needless to say, I will be the guy providing moral support and handing a landing net to the cute red head. :passout:
