View Full Version : Anyone use these?
I've made several of these for friends etc. and am thinking of selling them on ebay. Anyone use them?

I have looked at similar ones in fly shop's etc. and have thought about getting something like it instead of having several things hanging from my vest. There are times when I don't wear my vest, like when in my drift boat lake fishing or it's just way too hot. I would be interested Stew, how much are you selling them for? :applause: :applause: :applause:

What is that? A thong vest? Pretty sexy, I'll have to admit!

I used to use a lanyard, then I bought the creel from William Joseph and it has attachments for all of that plus way more. You may want to check it out.

I bought one last year that also has a tippet spool holder.

The tippet spool holder was the best feature because I have been struggling with my tippet spools for years.
I tried hanging my forceps on the lanyard and gave up, putting it back on a zinger. The lanyard was not long enough for me to use the forceps to release a fish unless I stuck my head underwater!

Meskel actually made me one for Christmas. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I think I'm going to like it. I do need to get a tippet holder though.
I was very impressed with the craftsmanship he put into it, afterall he's a rather crafty guy. I looked at several after I got it and they ranged from $20 (cheap looking) to $45 (not near as nic as the one I got).

Stew - That looks pretty good. If I didn't hate stuff hanging around my neck I'd buy one. Besides someone must be buying them you see lanyards in everyone's catalogs. Go for it !

Stew, I use mine all the time. It is very handy when I'm rowing the boat and have to fix clients lines,( new tippet, split shot, floatant.) My hemos' are right there, nippers, pump, etc. ready for use, not rolling around on the floor of the drifter getting soaked, or worse, stepped on. And If I do have to get out of the boat, all I need to grab is my flybox and we're fishing. Good luck on Ebay, American Capitolism at its finest, or as we saw from that guy scamming people for 100K just before Xmas, the worst!

I always worry about those big steelhead trying to jump through the hoop and smacking me in the face. I hate that!
Looks good Stew. :applause:

Stew can you make one for me? It needs to hold 5.56 full metal jacket, a few grenades, and dont forget the tippets. Seriously it looks like a great setup for summer days.
