Has anyone done a Terrestrials fly swap yet ?
I have yet to try Terrestrials but would like to. My impression is that it's a good mid to later summer Lake tactic. I would like to see what you are using and learn to tie a few. Maybe some tips ?

I've had some of my best lake fishing with black ants. Also in rivers, along grassy banks when it's windy. Fish go nuts for them.

This sounds like a great swap idea!
I have found black ants to be good when it is the right time of the year. Last year when I noticed them around the hose (wife would ask for my assistance at every sighting) then ran to the river tossed one out and sure enough the fish couldn’t get on it any faster.
Also worked well at lost lake roughly the same time of the year.
If there is to be a swap sign me up.

A swap sounds like fun. I could do something like this spider (http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/fotw2/100404fotw.html).
I have caught a lot of fish with ants on both lakes and rivers. You want them in black, cinnamon and red. Sometimes the color is critical.

Black ants have to be one of my go to patterns on most small streams.

mid summer is a great time to cast small hopper patterns. I'd be up for a swap as long as we don't end up with 12 different ant patterns

I am thinking of starting a Swap for Terrestrials but I am thinking we have some swaps already going on and I don't want to compete. Might be better to wait till the next swap.

my .02 is that you can set it for anytime. Now or a bit later, it's all good.
Abalone,
I wanted to send you a PM regarding OFC membership but your mailbox is full.
