Gonna trek out to Big D, planning on fishing below Mack's Canyon. Wondering should snow be a issue on the gravel roads ajacent to the river?
Think the river will be in shape and not blown out?
Fly suggestions would be awesome as well.
If one wants to join, say the word.

The river is totally blown.... It will take about a week or so.
The river guage at Moody is at 15000

Man I can't believe my eyes!!!! I guess its going to be a while before its in shape again and there is going to be a bunch of new spots to fish. Every time there is a big event like this the whole river changes. new holes and rifles and rocks get moved. It will be fun for sure

heck, it is still fishable... ()
hopefully it will take some of the weeds out that seem to get in the way in one of my favorite spots...

Whisky,
Thanks for showing us the pic's. You saved me alot of petrol money by not driving out and discovering it would have been a total crapshot.
Anyone have any suggestions for killer winter flyfishing, Im willing to drive a few hours away from Portland. Shouldnt Alpine lakes produce at this time of year?
