Metolius River 1/1/2006

OK, so I'm a bit crazy. I wanted to fish and the rivers around here were not in shape. I drove to the Metolius (3 hours), fished for 2 hours, then drove back. Several hits and two landed. All the grabs were on a size 18 black midge pupa with silver ribbing. Nothing on the surface.

I've never fished that river in the winter. If the rain keeps up though, I may have to give it a shot before school starts.
