Foxtail Lodge

We specialize in small groups of 1 to 3 people.
We are located in a remote area that has not had the pressure of the more traditional areas.

We are not obsessed with daily structure.
This is your trip!
We attempt to live with your schedule. There are a lot of daylight hours. We can keep you busy whether it be fishing or other activities. (Bear and eagle watching.)

Foxtail Lodge Bear

Our home is a 1300 Square foot A-frame located on Larsen Bay. We provide lodging, food, fish packing and freezing. All fishing gear is provided. If you want to bring your own, that's fine too. You are welcome to bring your favorite alcoholic beverages. We will attempt to provide the appropriate mixers.
We have experienced an unbelievable success rate in catching all types of salmon, halibut, and other deep sea species!

What to bring

1. If in doubt, don't bring it!
2. Bring soft baggage, preferably a duffle bag for your personal gear and clothing.
(Soft bags stow better in small planes and aboard the boat.

Please bring tennis or boat shoes, hip boots or chest waders, layered clothing and rain gear. Pack lightly! The weight you save can be used to take fresh fish home. Bring a camera and lots of film.

Temperatures range from 50° to 70° during the summer and in the fall months, 40° to 60°.

Rate: $500.00 per day per person

Air Fare

You are responsible for airfare from your city to Larsen Bay. From the west coast to Larsen Bay is approximately $750.00 round trip. Fishing license and salmon stamp are approximately $75.00. The Indian use permit for Karluk River is $125.00.

Booking a Trip

We take reservations with an initial deposit of one days rate, which is $500.00. The balance of the trip must be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival in Alaska. Refunds of deposits are gladly given if we are able to re book your canceled time slot.

Completely self contained. Freezer included. Sleeps
four people. You are responsible for food and fish cleaning.

Rates: $300.00 per night for four people. $200.00 per night for two or three people.

Guide and boat are available.
Rates: $350.00 per day for one, two, three or four people.

Transport service to rivers: $175.00 flat fee.
